Spice Stellar 526 3G smartphone launched for Rs.11,499

The already flooded Indian smartphone market has a new addition with SMobility announcing the launch of its first smartphone with an Hexa-core processor called the Spice Stellar 526.

The Spice Stellar 526 comes with a decent 5 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while the device is powered by a powerful hexa-core processor clocking at 1.5 GHz and is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. There is 8 GB of internal storage on the Spice Stellar 526 which will be expandable.

The Spice Stellar 526 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS out of the box while carries an 8 MP camera on the back with LED Flash and has a 3.2 MP front facing camera. The connectivity options include the usual 2G, 3G, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB port.

All of this is run on a powerful 2500 mAh battery and the Spice Stellar 526 will be available in White and Silver colour options. The phone has been priced at Rs.11,499.

Lately, there has been a spruce in the number of new entrant in the Indian smartphone space and another one is Oplus, which has today announced the launch of its new smartphone called the Oplus XonPhone 5 which is an budget smartphone with a few good things.

The Oplus XonPhone 5 comes with a 5 inch IPS display with base don one-glass-solution with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel which getting all its processing power from a quad-core MediaTek processor clocking at 1.3 GHz which is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. There is a sweet 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card slot up to 32 GB and the smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box.

The Oplus XonPhone 5 has dual-SIM (micro SIM and Mini SIM) option while there is an 8 MP camera with LED Flash on the back fo the device. There is also a front facing 2 MP camera and connectivity options include the usual 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB port. Indian company Micromax has been trying to keep its market share in the country since new entrants like Motorola, Gionee and many others are launching better quality smartphones like the Moto E making the company to launch appropriate smartphones to compete with them. And now, the company has announced the launch of the Micromax Canvas Fire A104 with Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

The Micromax Canvas Fire A104 comes with a 4.5 inch display with 854 x 480 pixels while being powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and coupled with 1 GB. There is 4 GB of internal memory on the device while it will can be further expandable to 32 GB. The Micromax Canvas Fire A104 has a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED Flash with a front facing VGA camera.

The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and the Micromax Canvas Fire A104 will be available with 2G, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, dual-SIM and 3.5mm audio jack connectivity options. There is a 1900 mAh battery to power the smartphone and will be available for Rs.6,999.

Samsung Galaxy Star Advance with Android 4.4 KitKat goes on sale in India for Rs.7,299

Earlier this week, we shared with you about Samsung’s Galaxy Core 2 going on sale in India and now with most of the smartphone manufacturers launching new entry-level smartphones, Samsung too has to launch a phone to compete with them. And thus comes in the Samsung Galaxy Star Advance G350E with some entry-level specifications and a MOP (Market Operating Price) of Rs.7,299.

For that pricing, the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Star Advance are still lacking with a 4.3 inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels while being powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor coupled with just 512 MB of RAM and having 4 GB of internal storage which will be further expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card slot.

Best thing about the Samsung Galaxy Star Advance is that it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it and dual-SIM capability. There is a mediocre 3 MP camera with LED Flash on the back but a front facing camera has been given a miss. A decent 1800 mAh battery will run the smartphone the device will be available in Black and White colour options.

As per Mahesh Telecom who already has the Samsung Galaxy Star Advance in stock, Rs.7,299 is the MOP and the MRP is Rs.9,400.a

Xiaomi Mi3 launched in India for Rs.13,999

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has just officially announced its entry into the Indian market and with a bang. The company has launched the Xiaomi Mi3 in partnership with @Flipkart and will go on sale from the online retailer starting July 22nd.

Specification-wise, the Xiaomi Mi3 packs an impressive 5 inch IPS display with a full HD resolution and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a powerful 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 which is coupled with 2 GB of RAM and there is 16 GB of on-board storage.

The smartphone has been priced at Rs.13,999 which is a killer price and will be available on Flipkart. Starting today, users will be able to pre-book their devices until July 21st.
